Title: Dances in flatland

Description: Three dimensional pulses of air, generated by playing musical selections across the flat surface of a soap film stretched on a wire frame, are driven by a small speaker visible in the lower left hand corner of the video. Opening with a simple horizontal banding of interference patterns, vortices begin to flow across the two-dimensional surface forming dynamic patterns captured in green light by a digital video camera.
