Title: Red Splash

Description: Made in the High Speed Photography lab of the Imaging and Photo Technology department at Rochester Institute of Technology this might be labeled a "classic" splash photograph but hopefully is still interesting in its own right. Triggered by a "dark activated synchronizer with adjustable delay" the 1/10,000 second electronic flash by which the photograph was made was delayed after the olive passed a light beam so that it would fire just after the falling olive entered the water surface.
