Title: Wave Breaking in Cudgera Creek River Inlet, Hastings Point NSW (Australia) at Sunrise

Description: Wave breaking in the river inlet of Cudgera Creek, Hastings Point NSW (Australia) on 1 Aug. 2004 at sunrise. Hastings Point is part of the Northern coast of New South Wales (Australia) facing the Pacific Ocean. This region is renown for its beaches, surfing, fishing and natural reserves. Cudgera Creek flows into the ocean at Hastings Point. The estuarine zone is influenced by the longshore sediment transport past the inlet entrance (150,000 to 250,000 m3/year) from South to North. Entrance shoaling may affect the creek tidal flushing during periods of low flows.
