Title: Producing droplets in parallel microfluidic systems Description: Two microfluidic droplet emitters are placed in parallel. A complex dynamical behavior is oberved, including synchronization, quasi-periodicity, and chaos. These dynamics have considerable impact on the properties of the resulting emulsions: chaotic and quasi-periodic regimes give rise to poly-dispersed emulsions with poorly controllable characteristics, whereas synchronized regimes generate well controlled mono-dispersed emulsions.
